What does it do that's different?
mod_MyMenu is another Joomla menu.
As most menus it takes in the content from your native Joomla menus and gives you more control over appearance.
It does not do anything different in terms of navigation, it just makes it pretty!
You can change the menu title colors, backgound, font color, add an icon and select a color for that too!

INSTALLATION
------------
1. Log in to your Joomla administrator panel
2. Go to Extensions > Install
3. Upload mod_mymenu_v1.0.0.zip
4. Click Install
SETUP
-----
1. Go to Content > Site Modules (or Extensions > Modules)
2. Find MyMenu in the list and click to open it, or click New and choose MyMenu
3. Give the module a name — this becomes the title bar text
4. Set "Show Title" to HIDE (the module has its own styled title bar)
5. Choose a Position (e.g. sidebar-left, position-7, top etc.)
6. Set orientation prefered. Verticle or Horozontal.
7. Choose if you want menus collapsed or open by default
8. Set Status to Published
9. Under Menu Assignment choose On all pages or select specific pages
10. Click the Module tab to configure options (see below)
11. Save & Close
MODULE OPTIONS (Module Tab)

Menu Source
Select which Joomla menu to display.
Any menu created in Menus > Manage can be used as the source.
Items and their order are managed in the Joomla menu manager —
any changes there are automatically reflected in the module.
Layout
Horizontal — menu items display in a row (best for top/bottom positions)
Vertical — menu items stack in a column (best for sidebar positions)
Default State
Open — menu items are visible when the page loads
Closed — menu collapses to just the title bar on load;
click the title bar to expand
Title Bar Style
A single style picker with four options:
Background Colour — the fill colour of the title bar
Text Colour — colour of the title text (use a contrasting colour)
Icon Colour — colour of the icon (can differ from text colour)
Pick Icon — opens an icon picker with categories:
Navigation, People, Communication, Business,
Content, Tools, Info, Social, Misc
Click any icon to select it.
Click x to remove the icon.
A live preview bar updates as you make changes so you can see
exactly how the title bar will look before saving.

COLLAPSIBLE MENU
----------------
Clicking the title bar toggles the menu open or closed.
The chevron arrow (^) in the title bar indicates the current state —
pointing up when open, down when closed.
Use the Default State option to control whether the menu loads open or closed.
This works on both desktop and mobile.
MOBILE
------
On screens narrower than 768px the menu automatically stacks vertically
regardless of the layout setting, ensuring it is always readable on mobile.
MANAGING MENU ITEMS
-------------------
Menu items are managed entirely through Joomla's built-in menu manager.
Go to Menus > [Your Menu Name] to add, remove, reorder, or rename items.
No changes are needed in the module itself — it reflects the menu automatically.
TIPS
----
- Set "Show Title" to Hide to avoid a duplicate title above the module
- Use a dark background with light text, or a light background with dark text
- The icon colour lets you make icons a different accent colour from the title text
- Font Awesome 6 icons are used — browse free icons at fontawesome.com/icons
- Multiple instances of MyMenu can be placed on the same page using different
menus and different colour schemes
